Providing this website

We use external service providers for web hosting, content delivery and IT security. When you visit, technical connection data is processed, in particular your IP address, the requested address, the time, and browser and device information. This processing enables page delivery, protection of the hosting service and troubleshooting.

Our legal basis for the necessary technical provision is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is an accessible, secure information website. Technical connection data is necessary to retrieve the page; without it, the website cannot be delivered.

Recipients of this technical data are the commissioned web hosting, content delivery and IT security providers and the infrastructure companies they use. Processing is not restricted to Germany or the EU; processing in other countries, including the USA, is possible. The companies involved are listed in our hosting provider’s sub-processor list . Further information is available in the hosting provider’s privacy policy. You can also ask about the applicable transfer safeguards through the contact named above.

Our website code does not maintain a visitor database. Retention of the hosting service’s technical operational and security data depends on its processing purpose, operational and abuse-prevention needs, and legal obligations. We cannot set our own fixed deletion period for these provider logs.

Features, cookies and browser storage

The website code we provide uses no analytics or advertising services and sets no analytics or marketing cookies. To keep this privacy notice from appearing on every visit, we store your choice under the key taxanker_privacy_notice_v1 in local browser storage. The entry contains only the choice “necessary” and the time of confirmation, not a visitor identifier. It expires after 180 days at the latest or can be deleted earlier when you remove browser data. You can reopen the notice and reset the saved choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

The selected example view and motion setting apply only to the open page. Images, typography and scripts are delivered with the website; videos, maps and social media content are not embedded. The technical hosting platform may process data for necessary operation and security. When you open external links, you leave this website; the destination provider’s information applies there.

Release notification

When you sign up for the one-time release notification, we process your email address, explicit consent, the time of registration, language version and technical connection data. The registration is sent to Brevo through a Supabase Edge Function operated by us. Brevo first sends you a confirmation email. Your address is added to the TaxAnker release list only after you follow the confirmation link. We use the data solely to notify you once about the release of TaxAnker and access to the planned 14-day trial. This is not a general newsletter subscription or an order.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Registration is voluntary. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by emailing kontakt@taxanker.de . We delete the registered address after the one-time notification is sent, or earlier following withdrawal, unless legal obligations require further retention.

Brevo processes the email address and proof of confirmation on our behalf. According to the provider, the database hosting servers are located exclusively in the European Union. Further information is available in Brevo's privacy notice and information about data storage locations. Supabase processes the request and stores only salted one-way hashes of the email address and connection address to prevent abuse; no contact list is created from them.

Contact form and email

For contact enquiries, we use Form.taxi (wrkt*biz Reinhard Söllradl, 4070 Eferding, Austria). Your email address, message, name where applicable and technical connection data are transferred to the service only when you send the form. There is no upload function.

Form.taxi processes submissions and forwards them to our email inbox. According to the provider, hosting is supplied by ALL-INKL.COM in Germany and Mailjet is used for email delivery. Submission content and technical data may be checked for delivery and spam prevention. The provider states a maximum retention period of one year for stored submission content. Further information is available in the Form.taxi privacy policy. Simply filling in the form does not cause our website code to connect to this service.

When you contact us, we process the information you provide, especially your email address and, where applicable, your name and the content of your enquiry. This allows us to handle and answer your request. Providing this information is voluntary; without a way to contact you, we cannot reply. An email link initially only opens your email program and does not send a message by itself.

Our email inbox is hosted by IONOS SE. IONOS therefore receives the data needed to transmit and store emails. Further information: IONOS privacy policy.

For contract-related enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other enquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in answering your request. We retain the correspondence until the matter has been finally handled. Further retention is based on statutory duties or the need to clarify and enforce legal claims.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights in particular to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent with effect for the future.

Right to object: Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you can object for reasons arising from your particular situation. Please contact us using the details above.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg. We do not carry out profiling or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects for this information website.
